Sam’s journey into the world of CrossFit started in July of 2013. He was in the same boat that a lot of people are in today, he was overweight and really out of shape. Fast forward to today and he has lost over 50 lbs and cut his body fat percentage in half. Because of CrossFit he has found a new love for fitness and being active. His favorite aspect of CrossFit is weightlifting! Heavy front and back squats, cleans, and snatches, it's all about throwing that barbell around for him. Sam loves to have a good time, and that is how he coaches. His main goal is make to sure that each member that comes through the door has the best hour of their day. He has an acute understanding of what it is like to be at a low point in terms of health and well-being, and his passion is to help those that are in a similar situation as he changed their life for the better. He is very open about his journey, so if you feel like CrossFit is not for you stop in and say hi! Give him a chance to prove, that regardless of where you begin, you can end up doing some pretty incredible things!
